Based in beautiful Bellow Falls, VT, we are a fast growing ISP in need of hiring a FT/Permanent Network Engineer to join our team. If you are a Network Engineer with DWDM and SONET experience, please read on!

Job Description:
• Implement Next Generation Packet Optical systems taking into consideration legacy Layer 1 transport, Layer 2 Ethernet, DWDM, SONET, Core/Edge Routers, Legacy TDM Networks
• Design, install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor core LAN/WAN/ MAN services
• Provide senior level design solutions, configuration and troubleshooting of network elements to support voice, video and data traffic
• Create system support documentation including instructional procedures, provisioning guidelines, test plans, problem documentation and functional process flows
• Monitor network characteristics, maintain logs, and follow procedures to effectively respond to out-of-tolerance conditions or outages
• Analyze, diagnose and correct network hardware and/or software problems associated with the delivery of data transport to minimize network downtime
• Contribute to the design, provisioning, and operations of the edge and backbone transport with emphasis on networking best practices
• Participate in research pertaining to development of new network systems and management tools

Requirements:
• Extensive DWDM and SONET experience is essential
• 4+ years of experience with optical network installation and maintenance for service providers
• BS or BA in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
• Experience with field-based work in POPs, carrier hotels, data centers and Central Office environments
• TL1 and/or Element Management System experience
• Solid optical troubleshooting skills using OTDR, OSA, BERT and optical power meters
• Strong knowledge of Optical Transport is essential
• Knowledge of OSI model and its layers from physical to applications
• Strong knowledge of SONET networking, ring and partial mesh network topologies
• Passive, active OADM & ROADM DWDM systems
• Ethernet, IGPs, bridging, routing, and switching
• Knowledge of Ciena, Nortel and Cisco systems is highly preferred
• In depth knowledge of industry protocols including IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, EIGRP, BGP, VRRP, VLANs, Spanning tree, 802.1q trunking and class/service standards
• Broad understanding of optical theory, transport technologies and the operation of optical transport systems (including SONET, SDH, DWDM)
• Experience writing and reviewing RFQ/RFPs for engineering and OSP contractors a plus
• Strong detail-oriented project management skills

InSite Technician

Job Description:
As the Apollo Technician you will be responsible for receiving waste from different buildings onsite at a customer location, verifying drum contents and preparing its contents for disposal.

The customer is a large-scale research and development laboratory and you will be exposed to a wide range of waste streams that require segregating and packaging on site.

In addition the Hazardous Waste Technician will be responsible for all documentation and report writing involving the storage of hazardous waste and ensuring that waste is shipped out in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements:
A High school diploma, one-three years hazardous waste experience in lab packing or in a warehouse environment as well as strong written and verbal communications is preferred.
You must be able to wear Personal Protection Equipment including respirators and full protective suits.
Must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Forklift experience and a 40-hour Hazwoper certificate are a plus.

Budget Analyst

DUTIES:Back to top Duties include: Providing assistance in a variety of accounting and budget duties relating to preparation, quarterly revision, and monitoring reports of the state budget. Work includes inputting, updating, generating and correcting budget and accounting documents.  Assists in the completion of other fiscal and financial operations. Plans, organizes and coordinates the day-to-day reimbursable activities for the Financial Management Section.  Initiates such procedural changes as necessary to insure accuracy and timely completion of operations. Assists with budget activities related to reimbursable obligations, preparing budget reports, bills of collection and other special financial data.  Sets up budget elements and monitors status of earnings.  Prepares billings for collection of refunds and reimbursables.  Works with program managers and assistant state conservationists to ensure that reimbursables are earned. Requests and obtains reports in order to analyze reimbursement disbursements and obligations to prepare month-end and year-end accruals. Assists with quarterly and year end obligation reviews and closeout procedures.  Assists SAO with preparation of quarterly and year end accruals. Assists with maintenance of Financial Management Section files, handbooks and reports. Serves as backup State Federal Agency Travel Administrator (FATA) for electronic travel system, GovTrip.  Assists the State FATA with GovTrip Maintenance Activities.  Serves as a GovTrip Reviewer and Travel Preparer for processing travel authorizations and travel vouchers.  Provides assistance to other GovTrip Reviewers and Travel Preparers as necessary. Develops relocation authorizations from data received from Budget Officer.  Reviews relocation vouchers for correctness and monitors relocation authorization balances. Serves as backup State POI Coordinator and back up Timekeeper.  Clears timekeeping errors. Serves as an appointed agency Certifying Officer.  Incumbent is delegated limited authority to authorize payments from agency funds.  Incumbent seeks guidance from Budget Officer with questions regarding payments.  Payment authorizations are subject only to GAO post audit review.  Incumbent is held personally liable to the Government for wrongful payments and may seek independent advance payment decisions from the Comptroller General. Serves as point of contact for staff certifying officers for support on issues related to certification of payments generated through Protracts.  Examines various invoices for correctness and submits invoices for payment. The incumbent is responsible for actively supporting the CR/EEO program and communicating this support to others.  The incumbent insures equality of opportunity when performing all duties and responsibilities described in major duties.  This includes the obligation to contact, cooperate with and provide sources to individuals and groups and the public without regard to race, religion, sex, or national origin. Required to operate a motor vehicle incident in carrying out assigned duties.  A valid state driver’s is required. Performs other duties as assigned.
