Job Description

UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the worlds largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are also a major supplier to international space programs.

In 2012, UTC Aerospace Systems was formed by combining two industry leaders, Hamilton Sundstrand and Goodrich, creating an organization with key positions on a wide range of aircraft flying today and substantial content on various UAVs, satellites and ground and naval vehicles.

Responsibilities to include:

• Procurement of materials per the requirements of the Material Resource Planning (MRP) system from approved suppliers.
• Place requirements to meet the cost, quality and schedule objectives of the organization in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Performs as the supplier manager for the commodity assigned; communicate SIS objectives to suppliers.
• Performs value engineering on commodity in concert with SIS and supplier to provide best product/best price.
• Initiate and execute teaming agreements with critical suppliers for the entire Electronics segment of UTAS
• Focal point all negotiations with suppliers.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree required Minimum Experience: 0-2 years
• Training: FAR knowledge; APP (Accredited Purchasing Practitioner) or equivalent preferred.
• Computer skills - Microsoft office; Word, Excel and Power Point; Interpretation of MRP
• Negotiation skills
• Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
• Organizational Agility
