VERMONT -Mechanic

A Mechanic is responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more davenport machines, as assigned by the department supervisor.The mechanic is responsible for the production of quality parts on assigned machines.This individual must execute and implement established layouts as per company engineering documentation.The mechanic can set-up any job on any piece of Spirolmachine equipment.The mechanic can also repair any piece ofmachine equipment as directed by the production supervisor, but it is understood that this is usually the job of the mechanic.The mechanic will participate in any DOEs, capability studies, gage R & Rs and other improvement activities as requested.Recommended Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, and classroom or on-the-job training in environmental management including hazardous waste management.Previous work experience withDavenports.
Equivalent of 5 years with set-up experience.Ability to interpret blueprints.Have knowledge and ability to accurately use precision measuring instruments and gages to check product to print. Ability to lift 70 lbs.
