PURCHASING AGENT 

Cabot Hosiery Mills in Northfield Vermont is looking for a motivated individual to work in the position of Purchasing Agent responsibilities of the job will include:

 

• Making purchases at the best negotiated prices possible by researching and working with varied vendors
• Making certain order delivery dates are met, pricing is accurate and quantities received are correct
• Developing and establishing effective relationships with vendors so we can get the best prices and service possible
• Developing, in conjunction with sales, new packing as needed.
• The ability to think analytically along with proven math skills
• Exceptional communication skills along with the ability to be a team player
• Ability to work well with computers and related programs such as Excel etc.
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer Service Experience
• Ability to problem-solve
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to type
• Other related duties as required

 

Work Experience/Education/Special Skills Required:

• Experience and knowledge of the all facets of Cabot Hosiery Mill operations
• Ability to think analytically along with proven math skills
• Exceptional communication skills along with the ability to be a team player
• Ability to work well with computers and related programs such as Excel etc.
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer Service Experience
• High School Education
