The Abbey Group is in search of energetic individuals to join our team to bring healthy food to school children in Rutland Area School Districts. Motivated candidates will be considered to manage school food services.

 

Applicants should love to cook, possess creativity and enthusiasm about healthy food and good nutrition for children, and have strong organizational skills. Experience in food service and management a plus.  Basic computer skills are important. Positions will involve many aspects of running a school kitchen including menu planning for student/adult meals, meal preparation, ordering, inventory management, record keeping, program promotion/marketing and staff supervision with support from the supervising Director. Implementation of farm-to-school activities and working with school staff, parents, and students to create a healthy school nutrition environment are the primary goals.

 

Work schedule follows the school year calendar. Hours per week are dependent on the position

Job Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to: A criminal background check and fingerprints, the ability to lift 25 pounds, the preparation and serving of food for school children and staff.
