Job Description

UTC Aerospace Systems is one of the worlds largest suppliers of technologically advanced aerospace and defense products. We design, manufacture and service systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. We are looking for a Program Manager at our Vergennes, Vermont facility which is 23 miles south of Burlington, Vermont on Lake Champlain.

Manages complex and/or several low to mid-risk programs. This individual assumes primary responsibility for program leadership, commitment to program success, and building solid business relationships. Successfully manage programs within program schedule and budget while analyzing risk and establishing associated contingencies, including trigger events. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas inside and outside the organization to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities. Plan, organize and control assigned activity from conceptual to final stages of product life cycle to optimize profit and meet growth objectives. Coordinate management and technical decisions, while effectively arbitrating and resolving problems associated with both new and existing products and projects. Assist in development of internal strategic plans. Interprets, executes and manages company-wide division/unit- wide modifications to policies and procedures. Utilizes PDPRs to ensure conformance to organizations goal and initiatives and ensures timely completion. Manages EAC, ETC, and scope changes against the program baseline using EVMS.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement: BS/MS degree in an engineering discipline, and/or business administration

Minimum Work Experience: 10 years program related experience preferably in an aerospace environment governed by the primary certification authorities (FAA or EASA)
