1. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Implements the quality plan into the production process. Directs incoming, calibration, auditing and, inspection functions. Initiates and tracks internal and external Failure Analysis and Corrective actions. Implements product and process performance measurements and performs trend analysis. Prepares and reports product performance data to Customers. Implementsqualification and maintenance of qualificationsampling and testing.Prepares reports for new and continued military and industry qualifications. Develops and Maintains test equipment and software. Performs internal audits.

2. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION(S):

4. EXPERIENCE:

Two years up to five years.

5. EDUCATION:

Education or Experience equivalent to completion of an undergraduate college degree. Understanding of, or completion of specialized training in SPC, Design of Experiments, statistics for quality, basic electronics, Visual Basic and Microsoft Office.

6. DIMENSIONS: Supervise 5-10 employees Inspectors, Calibration Technicians, Test technicians;

Testing, Materials & equipment replacement and repair budget responsibilities.

7. PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIRED SAFETY EQUIPMENT:

Typically good working conditions. Occasional exposure to elements such as noise, dust, cold or heat, due to investigation of quality issues in manufacturing and in the warehouse, make conditions frequently less desirable than usually found in an office environment.
